Dr. Debono is a total jerk. Can you imagine if he was a celebrity? Dan mhu xejn bicca village politician u jara n-nies ta’ fuqu dubbien, ahseb u ara kieku jaghtih kariga.

Do you think that the Nationalist Party will let him stand on its ticket at the next general election? It should, because that’s the only way the electorate can let him know what it thinks of him. If he isn’t allowed to contest, he will go down thinking that it’s because they stopped him, and not because his constituents are disgusted by him.

There could be no doubt about a serious conflict of interest when the same lawyer frees clients (who had even pleaded guilty to crimes) on the strength of technical loopholes in laws that he was duty bound to prevent when wearing the hat of a member of parliament.protecting the rest of society.
