It is not illegal for dental surgeons in Malta to inject botox and other fillers. We follow the UK on this procedure.

In 2010, there were about 6,000 dentists doing this sort of treatment in the UK.

The General Dental Council (UK) tried to stop this treatment by dentists but the professional liability insurances were against this move; the insurances said that dentists, due to the nature of their work, have steadier hands than the average doctor.

The only downside is that their insurance went up by £7000 over and above that which they normally pay.
