:) I didn’t say that homosexuals are imperilled in the same way that African people are…and thank goodness for that.

What I said was that they are both real issues that need addressing and that they don’t have to be mutually exclusive.

Indeed, some ‘populist’ movements are shunning names like ‘national party’ to avoid the negative ‘far right’ label with which the corporate media brand any freedom-leaning movement that’s not ‘politically correct’ – i.e. not within the defined left-right paradigm (it is of course the corporate media that decide what is politically correct, with the world’s mainstream media following suit, including tat-Tajmz, GahanToday, TVM, Maltastar and the rest of the Daphne-type mainstreamers who never dig beneath the scratched surface they’re offered).

In any case, the brave PN persists in being called Partit Nazzjonalista. For what choice have they got?

Partit Demokristjan Malti? Partit Konservattiv? Partit Popolari Malti? Partit Liberali? Partit Nepotetiku? Partit tal-Maduma?

Who knows! If the party experiences huge upheaval while Joseph plays PM, they might choose to drop the ‘partit’ and come up with something new age – a name that sounds like a slogan, such as Maghqudin Fl-Ewropa, or, to keep the PN acro, Poplu Newwiehi.

Here are some other possible PN acronyms:

1. Pensjoni Nassigurawlek (in case we go bust)
2. Poplu Nisrani! (in case Roman Catholicism starts losing ground to other religions)
3. Pane e Nutrimenti! (in case of widespread hunger)
4. Pene, e Nemmeno! (in case Joseph… never mind.)
5. Paci Nirvanika (in case we’re hit by one of the ever-increasing wars)
6. Pajjizna Newtrali (naaaah! Been there, ask Eddie)
7. Perpendikolarment Nirbhu! (in case everyone falls perpetually asleep)
8. Pashli Na-huy (if attracting the Russian vote becomes crucial)
9. Pitirrossi Nassaba (in the unlikely scenario that everyone goes green)
10. Pee-Nuts (PN goes hip-hop)

But then he didn’t once visit the open centres either, not when Justyne’s better half had declared it a no-go area.

His ‘indignation’ provides good commentary for a particular type of video belonging to the weird end of youtube. I suppose if the ixxjuw had the vote, the video would be officially endorsed.

Or maybe not, one of his MP’s proposed the segregation of these people to their own bus, in the name of our peace of mind.

Note how he has to correct himself everytime he mentions them. Then he gives us that flag in the name of Gay Pride. Please.

[Daphne – I disagree with you totally on this, Alison (though not on many other things). It is absurd to suggest that homosexuals are imperilled in Malta in the same way that African people are, or that people in general feel towards gay men/women in the same way they do towards Africans. Nobody’s ever tried to burn my house down with me and my family asleep inside just because I write about gay issues, that’s for sure. It was kind of different when I wrote about racism.]

I am sure there are those who think that this African ‘deserved’ what he got, without pondering on the possibility that the next victim of police/military brutality may be themselves of their kin.
