It was Germany, Italy and France that forked out the shortfall since they were afraid Mintoff would get the Russians on their doorstep.

But this is all useless. These people or their parents were brought up in the Brigata Laburosta and they are all in denial seeing from their posts in this blog.

Is this true? If it’s true, it’s a much more different version of the story that I’ve heard, i.e. that Mintoff THREW the English out of Malta. I would like to know the truth.
