I agree with your Mister. For those of us who lived through the Dark Years, it’s sad to see the PN adopting this strategy.

Not exactly the inspiring stuff that makes you want to rush out to the polling booth.

On the other hand, in politics one has to be brutal and kick where it hurts, especially if your opponent presents you with an inviting target.

After the recent polls, the PN won’t be too worried about the new voters, but is going after the middle-aged+ lost sheep.

Joey would have been smarter had he placed the party dinosaurs well out of sight and surrounded himself with new blood.

The PN strategists would have slammed his team’s lack of experience, but bringing up korpi, xiri bil-goff, dreadful foreign policies and all the other goodies of the “Golden Years” wouldn’t have cut it much with the voters.

They may not know much about literature but they are very productive with what may be perhaps be termed litterature.

But wait, I know why they convened the meeting (or whatever it is) – they are trying to come up with a name for their party which doesn’t put them to shame. Moviment progressiv (bla isem) just doesn’t cut it anyymore.
