Well said, Baxxter. I like that you quote Said, and admire your vast culture
if only because you counterbalance Debono’s ignorance. That said,
you surprise me when you have recourse to the “all movies
are spiritual” quotation. In this day and age, I think we are all
tired at cinema’s ubiquity – we prefer literature to the screen. But
we still applaud your insistence on our European values. We shall
stop at nothing to see that they are upheld.

I agree. Malta is at a crossroads. Philosopher and poet Edward
Said, once said, looking back on his life:
“الأرض كلها فندق.. وبيتي القدس”
Enough damage has been done. We should stop now.
For all its faults, Malta is a European Union member.
One should strive to aim for European values. As M
Night Shyamalan said, “All my movies are spiritual.”

So this is the time of reckoning, and we are now seriously considering
how and what to make of this unorthodox presidency, which
Abela has turned into a circus, a pale imitation of the institution, a
mockery of what should be the Guardian of the Constitution.
