Is it the case that the St. Christopher Street property is on lease as a residence?

If this is the case, then maybe he keeps that address registered to protect his interests against those of the landlord.

I believe that many people, who used to travel during the Mintoffian regime, had to fill a departure card and one of the questions asked was residence in Malta and abroad. Many times I wrote Buckingham Palace as my London address and nobody queried this information.
