A true case of “iggranfat mas-siggu” if you ask me.

He could not believe he was being stripped of the power that had clearly gone to his head.

Instead of being grateful to the prime minister for proposing him as commissioner he became cocky and thought he got the job because he’s so “competent”.

I believe Dr. Gonzi gave Mr. Dalli a chance to repent and get his act right.

His 25,000 euro monthly salary plus the rest of the perks should have been enough to get by surely.

I have to work 18 months for the amount he gets per month. But greed got the best of him. He used the high position to acquire a rope to hang himself with and I wonder if he will ever come out clean.

That will be the day he can start to rebuild his reputation.

I believe in Dr. Gonzi’s integrity, wisdom and sound moral values now more than ever.

It is true that we are not responsible for the actions of others, but it was irresponsible of Dr. Gonzi to foist that particular incompetent wheeler-dealer on the European Commission, with an internationally exposed profile, just to get him out of his hair. F**cking up in Malta is one thing, but f**cking Malta up on the international stage is definitely a graver sin.
