I am aware that government cannot sack judge willy-nilly, though I have the gut feeling that if a PN leaning judge would have resigned quietly and with dignity.

I am disgusted and alarmed with Labour’s behaviour in this.

My impression is that one cannot really call Judge Depasquale a Labour supporter, but the PN government still put forward an impeachment motion that was defeated because of Labour.

It is now apparent that little Joey has again shown how slimey he is. Just think how many unsavoury ‘deals’ he’s done to get to where he is.

Usually, in politics, there is a red line that one does not cross.

Little Joey has so smudged that line, accepting corruption, incompetence and ignorance among his followers that he is not fit to run a useless Labour newsroom, never mind a country.

Jeez, people. What other evidence does one require?

Can one imagine being arraigned for corruption, with this judge presiding?

Though Labour excel in sleaze. The PN inherited it and instead of getting rid of it, it reconciled with the corrupt.

If anything the PL should take the opportunity to show it has the country’s interests at heart and join the PN to call for LFS’s resignation. But then they don’t have the country’s interests at heart do they.

First of all the Malta Olympic Committee is not just an independent sport organisation like Qormi FC for example.

The MOC is heavily funded by Government so if it does not have a say then it should stop all funding until the situation is resolved – there will obviously be those fools who will say but then its the sportsmen/women that will suffer, but as you see the International Olympic committee is threatening that it will not allow Malta to participate in the Games which also impacts the sportsmen.

Secondly the issue raised by the IOC is an issue that needs to be tackled primarily by the MOC of which the two persons involved are members, by the police if there is suspicion of corruption (not only politicians can be corrupt) and then by the Commission for the Administration of Justice.

Thirdly the commission for the administration of justice has already made its ruling about Judge Farrugia Sacco holding the Presidency of the MOC. The Labour Party should have immediately said that the judge should have resigned long ago and could have actually taken the opportunity to slam the committee and the government for not doing anything about this situation.

One could also say that this situation could have easily been avoided had action been taken and the proper authorities done their job.

I suspect the Labour Party is playing this game because they are compromised.

Unfortunately like the judge who had spent seven years receiving his pay without going to work, this one will also find the Labour party against his impeachment.

Same way PN stayed out of the Vince Farrugia case.

What about the 29 million farce, any comments ?.
