Yes, he’s a cabbage but cabageness and corruption (regardless of indexes, statistics and crap) in Malta are endemic.

Anglu’s school of revisionist history goes something like this: Christopher Colombus, from where Colombia gets its name, was trying to prove the world is round by reaching India by sailing West (this is the reason why the Caribbean islands are known as the West Indies). He must have caught a strong wind which pushed him south and he reached Africa instead.

So is the world round after all?

Someone thinks the PN should behave like Labour. Or better, wished they did.

Does the failed ghost writer think the PN signs off a budget simply to impress us mere mortals?

What I see, is an opposition which needed a jumpstart to get down to something. It obliged. Ask all stakeholders.

And with all due respect, even when it’s known someone can’t make it, you still make sure they’re invited.

Labour. It’s only about what one can get out of others. Presumably when government is considered final privilege, feedback becomes a nuisance.

He said something about Bhutan being above Malta in the Corruption Perception Index. Probably he mentioned this country thinking no-one knows where it is and from its name one would assume that it’s somewhere in Africa.

So shame that Malta is perceived as more corrupt than an African country.

I stand to be corrected but he said that Malta was the last of the European countries in this index whereas below are Italy, Slovakia and a host of other European countries.

Looked up about Bhutan and probably their perception of corruption is still low because they do not know otherwise as looks like it is still a developing democracy.

Another point to mention is that Malta falls in the lower quartile of the perception of corruption, 43rd from 178 countries. But afterall Farrugia was preaching to the converted, I hope that those who are still not sure for whom to vote for on the 9th of March have clearer ideas by now.

He should become the next Minister of Foreign Affairs. Foreign ministers would appreciate a clown in their midst especially during long and boring meetings.

He should also carry with him, at all times, the picture of him riding an elephant, just to prove that he had reached great heights during his career after an eventful life in the police department.

He said twice that “on average” (similar to On the record,din?) tax increased from Eur 400 million to i don’t know what. On average?

Then he said that the Government found BWSC from the Yellow Pages. Never knew that foreign companies are listed on the Yellow Pages.
