What a socialist slogan.

Coming up after 9 March, when Labour is in government:

Il-banek taghna lkoll.

L-artijiet u l-propjeta taghna lkoll.

Is-servizzi tat-telefonija taghna lkoll.

Is-servizzi tat-tbahhir taghna lkoll.

“Ixtri Malti” was actually offering Maltese citizens on sale as slaves. What a Freudian slip that was!

Is that really what his signature looks like? That’s just his name written in eight-year-old handwriting.

Whatever it is, the slogan “Malta Taghna Lkoll” is pure hogwash. It gives the impression we’re living in some form of apartheid.

Listening to parts of his speech launching this campaign slogan he comes across as hysterically drumming up old-fashioned nationalistic and patriotic sentiments. Small wonder the few camera shots of his audience showed many of them bored.

He even had the nerve to say that Independence, the Republic, Freedom, the University, membership in the EU (and a couple of others) came about as a result of “taghna lkoll” (all of us)!! Quite a few times he was even short of words.

Even to someone like me who tries to make a balanced assessment, the whole event came across as a dismal, amateurish performance and a stupid follow-up to the ludicrous 12.01 launch of the PL campaign.

Trouble is, in a crowded room, farts are easily mistaken for Kurt’s brainwaves….

OK. I finally got it.

This was all a big, expensive (and massively inconvenient) show for the great illiterate unwashed who are impressed at the sight of a man who knows how to write his name.

Putting his signature to a load of rubbish does not say much about him either, does it?
