This boom around the western world (except for Malta, USSR and the Eastern bloc) is reflected through all the symbols of the 80s such as fashion, music, cars, movies, and TV.

Suffice is to say that the US produced two popular TV shows, Dallas and Dynasty, that reflected the wealth that was splashed around during those years.

We missed the opportunities here because Malta was led by amateur morons and inept individuals at the time. Can you imagine Malta’s GDP today if the PN built the economy on the momentum that existed in other countries, rather than starting from scratch in 1987?

These idiots were ready to steal the opportunities provided by EU membership in 2003 / 2004, and are eager to do the same again now.
