It’s their own doing. They don’t even dare to ask the right questions because they are intimidated. There is no grilling of MLP politicians. They just report what they are told or given in a transcript.

Look at how the PN press conference today was reported by the Times vs other newspapers.

The Times reporter left out (probably intentionally) the most important piece of information, i.e. that Muscat and Edward Scicluna are shooting projections from the hip.

While Muscat is projecting GDP growth at 4% under his premiership, Scicluna tried to ridicule the PN projections by stating that GDP growth over 2% is highly optimistic
