It’s OK Mrs Caruana Galizia, because the people in Malta aren’t –

(a) at 26% unemployment and rising
(b) in street demonstrations nearly every day in the capital
(c) with no economic recovery in sight
(d) and, haven’t been in recession since mid 2007.

In Spain, the criticism was unfair. It was a private trip paid for by the King’s friend. All the noise was racked up by the Spanish socialists (who are a little bit nastier than our local Mintoffians, believe it or not!) who gave the (wrong) impression that the state had paid for the King’s trip.

The King was ill-advised to have accepted to go, and Michael Falzon is ill-advised to have gone. But heed my words, no single independent newspaper on those twisted islands will mention it – ghax dik il-hajja privata.

Would you agree with me if I said that I find it less harmful and cruel,killing a few birds than Character assasination, which is nothing less than the indirect Killing of someone’s reputation?

The Times editor purposefully picked out a misinterpreted quote from Kurt Samsone’s article as a highlight for the on-line version to fuel the inflamatory deceit that PM Gonzi may not give up the reins of power in the face of an electoral defeat.

This is truly beyond the pale.

In reply to Tabatha White. Both late politicians are dead and any agreement was buried with them. I think it has to do more with personal ambition. In a similar way 5 years ago, Joseph Muscat had a lot to gain by the defeat of Alfred Sant.

I was thinking about this reality warp of The Times journalists, from whom it is the least expected. What is expected is objective reporting and some element of investigative journalism.

Then I read what Mario de Marco was saying this week re “Dear Dom” and “somewhere in the middle.”

Would what is currently happening have anything to do with a pact that Mintoff and Guido de Marco may have made during that rumoured visit together to Gaddafi at the time of the Oil Explorations in Gozo?

Eg.: I’ll help get your side into the EU but then…
