Surely the police should be doing something about this.

There has always been corruption and as long as people exist there will always be. The difference we have seen in these past few years is that people have actually been held accountable. Be it judges, magistrates, well connected businessmen, whoever. The judgements may not have been as severe as we may have liked them to be and perhaps the legislator needs to up the ante here. However, at least they have been taken to task. In the past, not only was it rife but it was institutionalised.

Therefore, John Dalli must not be permitted to get away with it. He must be held accountable and if he is guilty, he must bear the consequences.
