In reply to M. Cassar. English is an official language of Malta, not a national one. Maltese is the only national language of Malta and therefore he had the right to insist on speaking it just like an MEP from any other country would have most likely done. [Daphne - Not an MEP from any other country, Joe, but an MEP from his social and political background. Chippy chippy.]
