I have the feeling that JM is going through the motions of rewarding those who helped the PL get elected.

Then, in 1 or 2 years’ time, they will be replaced with those that JM really wants to head these departments/NGOs/etc.

With a 36k vote advantage, he can afford to think long term. What we are seeing is only the starters – main course to follow.

Dutchie, I don’t agree with you conclusion at all.

It is very clear that Muscat is surrounding himself with these people because he is weak and he sees his position under threat.

He knows that he has to keep everyone happy if he wants to retain his lead and be re-elected in 5 years’ time. Retaining people like Sonny Portelli and Frederick Mifsud Bonnici was just not possible because his people never consider Malta taghna lkoll.

The first crack and everything will crumble. He knows how fickle people are, including those he has appointed, who have had no qualms to slag off Labour in the past.

Aren’t we lucky it was Hollande that supported Muscat? An endorsement worth its weight in gold for all the comparisons extractable, … How refreshing to see the International Press alert and on the ball.
