Historically the PL have treated our Libyan neighbours as inferior beings.

Poplu salvagg. This was made very obvious to all during the uprising in that country two years ago when the PL were all out in support of the murderous dictator till the very bitter end.

Little did they realize that Gaddafi got more out of Mintoff than the other way round. Like Churchill and alcohol.

Now they are trying the same techniques.

If the PL dreams that they can con their erstwhile idol’s sworn enemies, the present Libyan leadership, they must be cuckoos.

In reply to Alex. I read the article. He's using the word 'regime' to describe the previous Libyan government not our previous government, as far as I'm understanding.

I think they were referring to Gaddafi, though The Times’s write-up is a little muddled. It was the Libyan PM who mentioned “the prevous regime”.

A regime? The PN? Is he serious? Is this not working against the interest of the country?

He is basically trying to make them believe that the PN are something to be afraid of even though they are well aware that the PN worked to take Malta AWAY from Gaddafi like government of the PL, who were best buddies with him.
