I heard that comment yesterday. The professionals and other staff will soon see the difference between Dalli and Cassar.

You have provided the answer yourself in the photo which depicts him both as a Saint and a Father Confessor in the act of absolving 'your sins'.

Same mind set like Dalli’s - even the mannerisms are the same.

Dalli will put the health sector in place but he will leave a trail of disaster to the people working in that sector and to the clients receiving the 'free’ service.

Saw him operating at Wrangler (Blue Bell) years ago. The bottom line was his focus not the workers. Wait and see.

In reply to <a href="https://daphnecaruanagalizia.com/2013/06/what-a-miraculous-recovery-which-holy-saint-is-responsible/#comment-1090127">Bubu</a>.

I am willing to contribute to the PN's fund-raising campaign (I'm not even a member or anything of the sort) but I can't stand the PN officials' apologetic 'confessions' to the switchers by people who were part and parcel of the previous government. It just smacks too much of OPPORTUNISM.

Now that Dr Gonzi is completely out of the scene they fail to remind us also the achievements of the previous government - nationally and internationally. Of course mistakes have been made, but on balance the country continued to progress in face of the threats which caused other Eurozone countries to falter.

Not even the Labour party, after their 1987 and 1998 disasters in government, has been this apologetic. The major single reason for the PN's defeat (to me) remains the fact that the electorate was weary (not fed up) of 25 years of (almost) uninterrupted PN government.

The general electorate is fickle (one of the 'costs' of democracy) and 'the people' wanted CHANGE. It's a hard pill to swallow after the mammoth investments made in education and the general upgrading of the economy. But the writing was already on the wall since the 2008 election and the party failed to address the issue properly.

Meanwhile, Joseph Muscat, sensing the general atmosphere, played his marketing cards well, while at the same time hammering the usual negativity on Super1 and the pro-/labour media.

For all the boasting about 'Rowdmepps' and having all the plans for Malta's problems, it's emerging clearly they don't even know what has hit them. 100 days on and they're still moaning and finding excuses for their incompetence. Some argue it's still too early and we have to give them a little more 'chance'.

But from what we've seen so far it won't be too long before the 'electorate' realises that change for its own sake is (often?) a sure way to regression.
