What a change from the Labour Party of the 70s. For all their sins, they still had the heart to find a home for the Asians expelled from Uganda.

I always thought that socialism was about equality, irrespective of race or creed. The current Labour Party is more reminiscent of a far-right and fascist crowd. Shame on all of them!

‘Wake up and smell the coffee’ was such an inappropriate expression in the circumstances that I thought there must be some misguided reason for him to have used it.

Oh that great time on waking up when you could shout Eureka! It came to me this morning, Cameron used it to warn tax evaders:

‘Mr Cameron said: “Any businesses who think that they can carry on dodging that fair share or that they can keep on selling to the UK and setting up evermore complex tax arrangements abroad to squeeze their tax bill right down. Well, they need to wake up and smell the coffee because the public who buy from them have had enough.”’
