Vic, how right you are.

Muscat will do his utmost to create a scenario where it will become difficult for Malta to remain in the EU.

The threat of a veto is no threat at all, but a promise. The immigration issue is another one. All pointing towards a Malta/EU crisis of Muscat’s making. Outside the EU Malta will really become a banana republic, under our dear leader.

Hopefully, these things take time. All we need is 4 years +, but will the switchers realise this?

Chinese imports are inferior in quality to anything produced under EU standards, their cars do not meet Ncap regulations in case of a serious collision, crumple zones have no effect in absorbing frontal impacts thus causing serious bodily harm or death to front seat pessengers, studies done in America and Europe show that theses cars are sold in a despicable manner to unsuspecting Chinese consumers.

America and Europe have come a long way to render cars as safe as possible, in the early sixties a US citizen by the name of Ralph Nader took it against the Detroit car giants General Motors and published a book called, ‘Unsafe at any Speed’ In his book he lists certain models manufactured at that time that are unsafe.

At the time Ralph Nader faced nationwide or worldwide criticism but thanks to his persevering, today we have much safer cars, so its no wonder that Chinese imports are banned in the USA and Europe.

I would not be surprised that we will soon have an Agent importing cars from China, and we’ll hear our prime minister bluff that Malta is the first country to import Chinese cars.

Whilst others are extremely worried about the unfair Chinese competition which is costing their centuries old industry considerable amounts of Euros and jobs.

Is there any doubt that this action by the Labour government which is intended to support China in its energy business will be reciprocated with a discount on the price of the new Made in China gas plant at Marsaxlokk?
