The point is that Malta does not have an armed forces with separate services: army, navy and air force. We have an army, which we call “Armed Forces of Malta” (rather confuses matters. Could have called it “Maltese Army).

What the ignoramus Muscat calls the “navy” is the Maritime Squadron. It’s an army unit. Just like the Air Wing.

You may think I’m splitting hairs but hair-splitting is the basis of rational thought. Without it you end up with some fool as prime minister.

It is not so much a matter of being, or not being, an idiot, but the danger that the leader of a government could delude himself that he has so much power, when the reality is obviously otherwise. And also, in believing that he is impressing the world.
