As far as I know, (correct me if am wrong), the OPEL like symbol that Lowell is using is actually the symbol of the river that flows through hell; Styx.

Those so-called ‘Beatitudes’ were uttered (in the vernacular) by his brother (Fr) Dijonisju as a tribute to Dom Mintoff during the latter’s funeral service at St John’s Co-Cathedral, to the emotional clapping of the congregation.

It seems quite easy to (mis)use mystical quotations to suit all hues of political leanings. At the end of the day don’t we all recognise the tree from its fruit?

I am not a saint but here is the meaning of the 8 pointed Maltese cross:

In reply to Liberal. One can still act and show signs of a mental problem. Malta is chock full of people with mental problems, diagnosed and undiagnosed, so it is no surprise.

Now here’s NEWS about another one who wanted to save Malta from illegal immigrants.

It’s Denis Catania tal-bazuti.

Some years ago, he ended up an immigrant himself, in the US, where he got himself into some trouble.

Daphne had broke the news on this blog about Catania’s escape to Cuba via Florida with his girlfriend Diane Camacho after they had sold off their property at short notice and at a substantial financial loss, and their subsequent arraignment in a US court where they were charged with the murder of a 23 year-old man in New Jersey in 2011.

Now, a week ago, in a court of NJ, he has pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter, and is awaiting sentence on 22 August.

“He faces 22 to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced Aug. 22.”
