In reply to Gahan. The declaration is for last year. It would be a bit hard to declare your income for this year as we are only half way through it. [Daphne - Property owned is not income. Yes, the basis year for income should be the last, but it stands to reason that the basis for a property ownership declaration should be the day on which the declaration is made: 'Property owned as at today, XXXX June 2013'.]

He did not declare the Sliema flat because the declaration is based on 2012, (I believe) even though they got elected on the 9th March 2013.

[Daphne – That is just so ridiculous. We are concerned with the property they own now, not the property they owned before they became the government. Who cares about that, except for comparative purposes with the next declaration.]

Is the house in London rented out? What was the rental income?
