The way I see it, is that the present government is running on the fuel put in the tank by the previous administration what will happen when this fuel runs out in a few months is anybody’s guess. Perhaps they will call on Simon Busuttil to give a hand in the Malta Tghana il koll gimmick.

Good – we are following the example of Greece then. The governments there created a lot of similar agencies over the years.

When the foreign advisors working on the Greek crisis tried to streamline all these Greek government agencies and privatize the profitable ones, the external consultants found out that all of these were just political shells that did not produce anything but costed a lot of money to the Greek budget.

At this rate, the 2013 deficit for Malta is going to explode well beyong the predicted 3.8%. No wonder they transferred some revenue from 2012 to 2013.

25% slash in bureaucracy and 25% increase in salaries to friends of friends and party faithful. So much so for the fuss done about the Euro 500! The Times is still stuck with the ex-minister’s clock and over looks these “new” jobs created purposely to “thank” the Little Kascos.

These agencies (including Malta Enterprise) are useless and an utter waste of taxpayer’s money. A solid business needs no agency to flourish and a businessman will know his field better than a bunch of people with a degree in economics.
