It is not the job of political parties to hold demonstrations.

Demonstrations are for those who cannot otherwise make their voice heard, because they have no platform within the democratic institutions. i.e. you and me, Ciccio.

But the PN is a political party. With a seats in parliament to boot. They seem not to understand this. What else are parliamentary debates for, if not to lambast your government for violating human rights? But then you’d need articulate MPs who can make passionate speeches and here, alas, we run into the usual Maltese dearth of skills.

I think I shall start a lucrative business selling ready-made speeches online.

This is a great opportunity for the PN.

They should call a counter demonstration – one in favour of human rights and dignity – on the same date and at the same time.

Let us see where the Maltese people stand on this subject – with the xenophobes, or with human rights.

Should be a good opportunity for the Maltese to express their anger about the heartless Labour government – “Gvern bla-qalb.”
