No. He’s going to do it Manuel Mallia style, and stash them at home.

One of Labour’s major changes was the trashing of their socialist behaviour. Now it’s all about taking, after “25 years of suffering.”

They say if you can’t beat them, imitate/join them. This is a case in point.

Just because it’s cash, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t kept in a bank – in safe deposit boxes, for example.

No wonder the government fell over themselves to lower the fees for development permits, to start the process for land reclamation and revise local plans (apart from giving a blanket permit to hotels to raise floors).

The top government politicans have direct interest in real estate development property – they stand to gain if there is more development.

I actually believe Muscat’s cash in the bank is realistic.

1) He’s not paid for the house himself. His parents did. This is why there is no loan. He’s not old enough to be able to make a living, pay off a house loan, and yet still manage to feed a family and run a household.

2) €70,000 in the bank is not a big deal for someone who was working as MEP – which is his only real significant job on the CV.

Imma Manuel Mallia – €495k cash. How stupid to declare them. How dim. He doesn’t fear for his family’s and his own security. If they are cash and he has no problem declaring them, where did they come from, and why are they not in the bank?

U haga ohra, why does he need to steal water from fountains and fight against the crush at Lidl when he is a multi-millionaire?

The incomes and the lifestyles don’t match. Cardona for example earned €23,430 in 2012. That looks like 3000 above his opposition honoraria. Did his private practice and directorship only produce a Eur3,000 dividend?

Mallia on the other hand is a fat cat. One wonders why he is wasting himself on politics with incomes of that nature.
