From what I can gather, you would have to clear immigration and customs as well as completing a landing card even if you are in transit.

Also, your passport will be stamped by immigration.

My bet is that he had to get off the plane whether private or not.

To me, the biggest news in all of this is that there is no news from anyone in Malta.

This only serves to reinforce my view of how deep the tentacles actually reach.

If there is silence, then people cannot be blamed for reaching such conclusions.
