Just because I am sick of bad English and feel it my duty to educate (to the limited extent possible) at least one of my fellow country savages. So, I think you mean:

1) You think it is representative of public opinion…and “overwhelmingly” not “wholesome” (that’s a word you use for bread or your granny, though maybe not in this case with respect to the latter)

2) I assure YOU

3) Public opinion does not take the definite article

4) “It is also in blogs”: you cannot use it because it is not clear what “it” refers to. I suppose you mean “evidence of this is also found in blogs”

5) “You search and you see”: You must mean, “Evidence of this is available should you wish to find it”.

6) This is not the first time there has been a move to boycott Malta

7) “…only one comment about the issue”. What issue? You would need to clarify: I presume you mean “recent events”

8) “They can be…”who is they? Do you mean bloggers, commentators, tweeters?

9) ..for all “we” care…is this the royal “we”? Or are you some sort of messiah who speaks on behalf of many? No, I didn’t think so, so don’t use “we” (I’m sure you aren’t royal either)

Also, while I am at it, a word on your logical progression through this argument.

1) “I assure it is not”: whether many other people agree or not is neither here nor there and has no bearing on how we feel about the fact that many people think Malta is a racist backwater; you see, we disagree with the people who agree with you (no, really?)

2) “…they can be Maltese people in disguise for all we care”: yes, I am slightly baffled by this one, as this is clearly the Italian media, so unless several Maltese Neanderthals have infiltrated the media there…well, you can see where I am going with this one, surely.

3) “Many others will come”: a slightly hopeful supposition in the current economic climate.
