The thing is that in such cases you have to preempt the mijiet ta’ messaggi, by first posting something related to your appointment or passing from an exam or having a baby etc, and then people start sending you messages.

Aaron here is actually thanking people for the messages they haven’t started sending yet, and then feels the need to post something similar again later on to see everyone answering him.

I used to have Facebook and I used to deliberately avoid posting such statuses. It’s one of the many reasons I decided to close my account.
