I am starting to understand what was meant by the ‘Malta Taghna Lkoll’ battle cry: it meant that all professional people in positions of responsibility would be removed and replaced by the ‘popolin’ — a kind of neo-communist approach.

Can we assume that that the former directors held the post as part of their MIMCOL duties and were not due any significant allowances for their directorships on what should have have been a non-operating company for the last few years.

Should we also assume that the new directors will be in receipt of fees as remuneration for their directorship?

Il-Busu was always considered as a sly opportunist by those who truly know him. Being on the party’s payroll does not automatically mean being a loyal supporter of that same party.

This is like someone who marries his/her spouse for their fame and money, but starts drifting to other successful pastures as soon as the power of their ‘loved’ ones is lost.
