Here I shall add that should the court decide that such articles are libellous this would be a very serious matter that cannot be ignored.

The newspapers may be guilty as accomplices, but the real criminals, who should never hold public office, are those creating this campaign.

This morning’s Malta Today is running a character assassination piece on Taliana – throwing Tonio Borg in the mix for good measure – and I really cannot understand why.

To us logical individuals this does not make sense but why kick up such a storm against Taliana?

It just doesn’t make sense. Something is of course unknown to us and whatever it is, it smacks of foul play.
