Mr Nair accompanied the Energy Minister to Qatar to try to negotiate the price of gas (I have heard this on authority).

The Labour government is using a mercenary who fronts the acquisition interests of Japan and China, and loosely calls himself a consultant to Malta Enterprise, adviser to the Prime Minister of Malta, along with being an “adviser” to around six other governments (at the very least) around the world.

His systems and processes are shrouded in secrecy, including the hostile bid against the Rothschild/Hayward team.

Using consultants is normal for all governments, but there is a clear-cut and highly visible conflict of interest here. Who does Nair represent? Vanuatu, China, Malta, Japan, pray, who?

It depends how Nair is readied and who the explorer scouts are in his network when it comes to China / Malta, for the moment.

There are those, Maltese, who have been in China for close on 20 years already.

And there are those who know how to set just such a strategy, with links to past, present and future.

And there are those who know the tricks of reporting.

Then there are those who knew how to round up a crowd magnificently.

They, and their interests, may just happen to be linked.

“Those” may be but a man at a time.

Can the Prime Minister confirm if Mr. Shiv Nair, his consultant according to Qatar Petroleum, has a written contract, in his own name or in the name of any one of his companies, with the government of Malta for consultancy services?

Can the Prime Minister confirm if Mr. Nair’s consultancy services were obtained with a direct order or through a tender?

Can the Prime Minister provide details of the nature of consultancy services that Mr. Nair is engaged to provide to the government of Malta and specifically to the Prime Minister?

Can the Prime Minister provide details of the fees and other benefits, including commissions, payable to Mr. Nair by the government of Malta in connection with the consultancy services?

How much fees and benefits have been paid to Mr. Nair since 9 March 2013? How much are in arrears?
