Actually, no. James Webb wasn’t a scientist. Neither was Leslie Groves.

You just need someone who understand science. And you need real scientists on the board of directors. Ah now, that is another matter. Because Malta is too small and isolated to have a sufficient pool of real scientists.

To head a scientific entity one would have to be an active scientist and researcher with several papers and books under his belt. Putting one’s heart and soul into one’s work and promoting the entity one represents are also prime requirements. On the other hand, buffoons should be working at the circus.

‘Real’… that has certainly been a word to ponder in the last few months. But please get real, scientists deal in empirical data. Which scientist would label somewhere a cancer factory only to make a 360 degree turn 6 months later without any shred of explanation backed by facts.
