I have the same feelings exactly. The company has to have Maltese interests somewhere.
Azerbaijan is one of the highly corrupt countries in the Transparency International list – ranks in 139th place out of 176 countries. And that’s not because of the Eurovision vote rigging.

Electrogas is a consortsium made up of the Tumas Gasan group and the state of Azerbaijan as reported in Malta Today. I would not be surprised if Nair is in there somewhere. My gut feeling is that this Company will win the contract. Any bets?
