If there is no scrutiny and there are no standards applied by the JM Government in general, customs are only one point of entry and exit.

The stamp of this Government is that it is at the altar of ‘no standards’ and ‘new truthing.’

Let us not forget this broadcast appeal that under this Government “we are open to business.” The question is: what business? Anything goes business? With anyone? Regime business? Dictator business? Money laundering business? Who, exactly, was the Fox News broadcast targeted at?

Why chose a Malta Enterprise, or whatever, consultant whose links are to questionable regimes?

Morality (have a closer look at Martin Scicluna’s close connections and his interest in throwing dust in the eyes – very weak article Martin) and any difference of opinion to the Government’s current stated one of convenience, at any one time, is a sin. The JM set reaction is an attempt to cloud any criticism with guilt and fear. Isn’t this ironic? It’s normally the area the Church is linked with. The perceptual signal codes for good and sin have switched place.

Ethical and moral reasoning, and transparency, never had a chance with this pack of liars.

Malta is not an isolated place, nor do its benefits and stability function in isolation in the wider picture.

Of course, why would the current government put a person of integrity in such a position? Better someone like him who has dubious moral and ethical standards (to say the least). That way, other crooks can pass what they like through customs.
