So far no one has quoted which provision of which law makes taking a photo in that part of the airport a criminal offence. Quoting the law should have been the very first concern of the police, if the rule of law is to mean anything at all.

It may well be against the law, but please share with us on which page of the law book we can look up that prohibition.
