I too have been told about the PS’ statement to certain staff members that there’s no work for them there, and these include members of the diplomatic service.

Let us see whether the foreign affairs will issue a call for recruitment in the coming months – so much for not having any work for those serving in the diplomatic service.

I think you’re being unfair on Mr Farrugia.

I mean, “massive”, is a subjective measurement.

I’m quite sure that for him, a lot of things do genuinely and honestly seem “massive” from his perspective, in the same way, a leaf looks massive for an ant!

The issue here is not about hosting the CHOGM in two years’ time. It is actually the fact that Malta will have to work closely with the Chair in Office of the Commonwealth – for the next two years this will be in Sri Lanka’s hands.

Actually compared to Mauritius and Sri Lanka (4000km), Malta and Scotland are neighbours (2600 km) and with the same reasoning even Dubai is (4000km) With this reasoning Malta shall get 12 points from all Eurovision nations or at least from those that give 12 points to their neighbours.
