Having read Norman’s Facebook post which led to this story in The Malta Independent, I fully understand where he’s coming from. Imagine the Labour furore if Peppi of all people ran such a show.

Don’t worry, Norman. Daphne has already managed to give your case the importance that it deserves.

Those who have had to take note of the goins-on have already done so. Most of the rest are unaffected and would have remained so if even if you had been found beaten or dead in a ditch following your arrest (1980 style). For such is politics in Malta.

As if Peppi will dare propose to bring Norman on Xarabank. He only did this during the “bad” days of a PN government because he knew that the previous government was a liberal one.

I know now how corrupt Malta is. Without any evidence, someone reported a crime to the police and, only on the word of the informer, they arrested Mr Vella.

In any normal, civilised democracy, the Chief of Police would be arresting the informer for wasting police time/filing a false report maliciously.

In corrupt Malta, he takes the side of the lawbreaker.
