With Yana as President ‘Malta’ will prove ‘to the world’ that Mintoff is still alive and kicking, more than 30 years after he’d been rejected in the 1981 election.

Moreover, Lejber supporters think Malta will regain its international ‘standing’ — you know the Mintoff – Malta; Malta – Mintoff syndrome.

Yana Mintoff for President! This has to be a cost-cutting ploy if this comes to pass. I am sure there will be no need to print new passports for sale.

Many Maltese citizens by birth would willingly put their passport on the market. Mine is brand new, issued only two months ago. And I would be happy to live anywhere but Malta.

I am ready even to become an illegal immigrant somewhere else.

How much of her life has Yana actually spent in Malta? The first 10 years?
