When Engerer mentioned that Austria has a scheme exactly like ours except that the price tag is 3 million euros instead of 650,000, Plumpton objected strongly.

The Austrian scheme requires selected candidates to form a Joint Venture or direct investment in a business that creates many jobs or a significant amount of new export sales, and even then they may not get their passport after several years of doing this. Passive investments in real estate or stocks do not qualify.

They both asked viewers to check the Henley & Partners website and I did just that.
