And Xinhua has just announced that China will be carrying spot checks on the personal and family assets, hidden wealth, personal and family incomes of officials of the Chinese ruling Communist Party.

Somehow I do not believe that there is any connection between that Xinhua news item and the opening of its Malta News Agency Bureau by our Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia.

"The Chinese government is subjecting foreign journalists to the most serious levels of harassment "in years", the New York Times warned last night, amid a growing diplomatic row over Beijing's attempts to stifle reports into the financial affairs of top Communist Party leaders..."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/china/10496870/Joe-Biden-criticises-Chinas-treatment-of-US-journalists.html

"US Vice President Joe Biden cast a spotlight on the lack of press freedoms in China on Thursday as he met with US journalists working in Beijing after publicly criticising how they're treated by China's government.

Closing a two-day trip to Beijing, Mr Biden listened to concerns from journalists who may be forced to leave China in what some have perceived as retaliation for stories that have reflected poorly on the government. US news organizations have warned China's actions could have a chilling effect on hard-hitting journalism and the ability for American reporters to operate in the country... "

Meanwhile, in Malta:

I have been following the Chinese scene for decades. I have heard their leaders` views about the "Divine" rights they have to pollute the air because the west did it before them.

I have followed their opinion abour journalism, freedom of speech and their policy of regional supervision by party thugs.

Their "education" policy that is indoctrinating convicted persons serving terms in prison.

Then I also followed the suffering of the poor people who at times could not afford a bite to eat. ALL IN ALL it is most appalling and disgusting seeing the fatter pigs in the farm treating the others as scum. Their aspirations to power are beyond imagination, though silently executed.
