The George Papagiorcopoulos of this world will make the conscious effort to try to justify a bad (tragic) Labour decision so as to convince themselves that they made the right decision in taking the “brave step” of voting Labour.

The alternative is to feel like a right idiot, and people have huge inbuilt, protective defences against that.

It was the same in 1996: “Don’t worry we’ll be OK.”. Yeah, right.

In reply to Stephen Borg Fiteni. Have a look at who gets the biggest numbers by this arrow ^ below each comment on the comments board of The Times of Malta. It looks as if there is an overwhelming majority of switchers against the IIP scheme for sure.

When Dr Fenech Adami visited Malta International Airport on a formal occasion, past ministers who had anything to do with the airport – Francis Zammit Dimech, Michael Frendo, Josef Bonnici, Austin Gatt, Tonio Fenech and Mario de Marco were there.

Past CEOs Nick de Giorgio and George Papagiorcopoulo were not present.

I’m not fascinated, I’m livid.

These people were given jobs on a silver platter but instead of being grateful they turned bitter around the time that Dr Gonzi won the PN leadership.

In hindsight this was a mere coincidence.

It scares me to see that the overwhelming majority of comments are those of people in favour of the scheme. I hope this is not a representative sample of the Maltese voting population as a whole.
