Thirdly, with Chris Fearne being made PS for Health, if he already will have to give up his job due to the PS post, why not make him Health Minister in the first place?

Any previous Health Minister will tell you that that Ministry is a huge one with many different sections, and a difficult one to manage. Yet now we have a Minister who will juggle it together with another ministry, one on which huge promises have been made.

With all the China connections Mizzi has, will we now see a shift towards purchasing medicines from China? Will Maltese distributors ever win another tender? Time will tell. But my gut instinct is that we’re going from the frying-pan into the fire.
