No, what is crazy is for people to BELIEVE that things would indeed be done in a new way when most of the ‘old’ gang has been retained AND given a position.

The surprise was how many actually paid heed to the lip service and chose to ignore their own experience.

If one puts a venomous snake in bed with him, he should not be surprised or blame the snake when he is bitten, should he? Blind trust was never a good thing and it is not likely to become so anytime soon!

On another matter, Michael Farrugia said “the petrol station’s owners had been ‘promised a permit before the elections’.”

Did he really say that? Who is taking the decisions on development applications? From this comment, it seems that decisions are being taken by the politician and not by the Boards and irrespective of the case officer’s report.

Having the PS responsible for MEPA defend a MEPA decision is not on. Justifying a MEPA decision on the basis of a pre-election promise is crazy.

The PL has turned the planning system on its head.
