Franco Debono, Pullicino Orlando, Jesmond Mugliett, Lou Bondi? The first three at least are not people ‘kept in place’ but people being rewarded for services rendered.

It is not just ‘Nationalist activists’ who were removed but also people whose sole interest was to do a good job in whichever post they occupied.

These people had no allegiance to any political party. They too were removed to make way for persons who according to the PL government deserved to be rewarded.

Joseph Muscat has turned meritocracy in the civil service on its head.
