No, I am defiantly a man.

I got married and fathered two children and helped my wife to raise them. I worked hard and expanded my business but I was never lucky enough to experience this “man pleasing culture” that is so prevalent in Malta.

Maybe me living most of my life outside of Malta had something to do with it, or maybe not, just luck of the draw.

I hear there are a few of those tarts in the Home Affairs Ministry.

I am really annoyed with this misconception of inbreeding. Studies have repeatedly shown that actually there is very little inbreeding amongst the Maltese and this is basically because the population is relatively young, around 500-600 years.

The main problem about these traits is actually partially genetics and environment.

The Maltese genetics is characterised by numerous founder-effects. This is basically the result of a number of individuals who arrived in Malta, mostly from Sicily and south Italy (sailors and masons), living here for an extended period of time and having a number of children at a stage in Maltese history when the population was relatively small (17,000). This can produce a similar affect to inbreeding as the particular genes would become relatively predominant.

The other side is the environment and this has the same affect, if not higher, than genetics. People want to feel part of a group, and thus if the group is stupid, ignorant, morons and generally hamalli, than this becomes the predominant trait.

Incredible and hard to believe. A 15-year old girl, whose life was destroyed by this perverted subhuman species, has now become the “criminal”. They have no respect for her memory and neither for the immense suffering that her father is going through.

Let us hope that none of the good lady’s granddaughters or grandsons will have to go through what Lisa Marie suffered.

I’ll get a torrent of abuse for saying this, but has anyone else noticed that the inappropriate behaviour by men has conditioned women to behave like tarts, even in a professional environment? Or is it just me and my generation?

But to blame a 15-year-old for luring men is absolutely not on.

Then I should start stealing anything which attracts me if we are to start accepting such twisted reasoning.

How can they not realize that life, like a theatre production, is not just what one sees on stage, but that a lot more goes on back stage and timelines extend much beyond the few scenes and life situations which we get to see!

So if this lady met a victim of Stockholm Syndrome she would just say that the abuser and abused are in love, full-stop.

[Daphne – A combination of lack of imagination (Maltese people in general have absolutely none; it is a literal society), lack of experience of life coupled with massive lack of insight, and a genetically low IQ which is the root of most of these problems. We tend to think of a range of IQ levels as being the norm even in a genetically undifferentiated island society, but think about it – how can that be possible? Just as there is a dominant height (short), a dominant figure type (squat, with short limbs), a dominant hair texture type (coarse and frizzy) and a dominant hair and eye colouring (dark brown), there is likely to be a dominant IQ gene, too.]

[Daphne – I agree with you completely. Maltese men IN GENERAL are the kings of inappropriate remarks and behaviour. They have no idea how to speak to girls and women without innuendo or sexualisation of the conversation. Even their voice and tone change: they have one tone for conversation with other men, and another tone for conversation with women – which conversation (obviously, because women are stupid and uninformed and must be talked to in a ‘lighter’ way) never goes beyond inane teenage banter, even with 50-year-olds.]
