They seem to want to glorify a past era by distorting history. This street was aptly called “the Gut” by British Navy servicemen and was a sort of red light district where drunken sailors threw up all over the place and some Maltese girls, pimps, bar owners and other assorted characters made money fleecing the sailors. Where’s the glory in that?
