Most comments refer on the absurdity of the situation, but what the public is entitled to know, through an independent investigation, is why the court was not aware that the person chosen as its expert had been dead for so long, how long was it before it learned this fact, and how can all this be justified?

Will any disciplinary action be taken against anyone? If not, why bother to change such inefficiency?

It was not the diving equipment itself – it was the ‘traces of explosives’ on the equipment.

That goes to show how sophisticated the scanning equipment is. It can detect ‘traces of explosives’ by viewing the equipment electronically – and, presumably, smelling the substance.
