He was ashamed to mention Dr. Gonzi by name. So he referred to the ‘past legislature’. Who knows. Maybe there could even be some fools who would think that the last legislature was run by Joseph Muscat.

The PN built Malta’s future during the 60’s then had to rebuild it again post 1987.

Between 1971 and 1987 the MLP degraded Malta from a bustling and emerging micro economy to a banana republic of the violent kind.

Now we are back to MLP times. Only yesterday it was reported that an MLP soldier of steel dressed up in a nurse’s uniform violently attacked a mental patient after the latter complained of the ward’s TV being always on the MLP’s station.

Then today we have the report of a claim of police violence.

Imagine what the situation will be like if we, tomorrow, rubber stamp our approval to all this by voting for Joseph Muscat the usurper.

They should of bombarded us with clips of JM and Sant opposing every move to join the EU including clips when they went and stopped the application.

They should of showed clips of DR Eddie rebutting arguments during discussions on TV programmes. He use to tell them that in time they will do BIG U TURN.

He knew what he was doing and most of all what he was saying.

I just hope that tomorrow people will give the backing to the PN and appreciate what they did for this island.

(Despite my background in manufacturing, I must confess, I’m not sure who built what factory-wise, though I know that the Mriehel and Bulebel estates were Borg Olivier’s brainchildren).

Compare that to: the airport, the general hospital, the university, the polytechnic, MCAST, Malta’s only decent roads, the Cirkewwa/Mgarr terminals, various schools, the power station, sewage treatment plants, a 100% digital telephone network, reverse osmosis plants, a waste recycling plant (which Joseph Muscat vehemently tried to scrap funding for) and most of the flood-relief project.

Here’s the rub: everybody and his dog takes these things for granted – not to say they criticise PN for spending money!

Why Simon Busuttil doesn’t point this out is beyond me. But that’s lawyers for you.

That’s the correct idiom.
